Each apron is made from five to six layers of 100% soft, cool Mulmul cotton, stitched together using a running stitch known as Kantha stitch.

This process is done by hand, resulting in a strong yet breathable fabric. The fabrics used date back to the 1950s, 1970s, and 1980s.
