 Our Vintage Kantha Quilts are unique to Yummy Linen.

They are made by hand-stitching together vintage saris that were hand-picked by hill tribe women in India.

We work with a few Indian family businesses that are dedicated to supporting local villages in India.

Each Vintage Kantha has 4 to 5 layers of plant-dyed cotton that are hand-stitched together over a period of 4 to 5 days.

The ladies who create these pieces take pride in their work and are grateful to be paid so they can support their families.

By buying from us, you can be assured that these small communities are being paid fairly for their work.

Vintage quilts are unique and may show signs of age such as small holes or marks on the cloth.

However, these "imperfections" are part of the lifecycle of the fabric and add character to each piece.
